I currently cut mine in either 2 1/2" strips or 5" charms. I may start cutting 10" squares as well. I find I can do lots with these sizes...although you can't tell it by how full my drawers are of them.

Wow! I think you did great.

I have been doing the same thing. I haven't found the bottom of the scrap bucket yet. I love scrapy quilts and you can see some really great ones on here. Happy sewing.

Now you can come to my house. I can keep you busy for a long time!
I like all your neat stacks of stash. peace |
Great job on cutting those scraps. Here's a great site for scrappy quilts! http://weddingdressblue.wordpress.com/tutorials/
My friends and I challenged each other to make the Fading Charms Quilt. When you first read the pattern its sounds very daunting but she breaks down the steps into manageable parts. I made mine with 2" squares and each of my two friends made the 2.5" squares. Its a very rewarding quilt to make!!!! Colleen |
looks great.Sometimes I cut every thing under a yard into 2.5 inch strips and 5 inch squares.

Good for you. I'm slog trying to do that
