I found this on craigslist for the grand sum of $25! I had to drive over an hour one way to get it but thats ok, sure was worth it. Lots of attachments, needles, case and manual. I havent fully tried it out yet, I worked till 7 and Im exhausted, going to hit the sack. I will try it out more tomorrow.

That is the machine I learned to sew on!!! I haven't seen one in years.

Beautiful! I have one but it is a solid color tan. I won it off Ebay a month ago. I got her for $72, including the shipping cost. I am saving up to buy a black 301 longbed.

Beautiful - how's it run?
I have one in a room upstairs and use it for 'quiet sewing time' in the morning and at night. |
What a cool machine. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like you can make some great quilts with it. Good price!!

Hello, I found a Singer 501A at a barn sale today. It looks to be in good shape. No rust and it looks clean. The cabinet is pretty bad.
I know nothing about this machine. The top opens up and it appears to take cams? If it had cams, it doesn't now. Does anyone own one of these machines? Do they use cams? I don't know what to offer if I decide I want to try the machine. The guy is cleaning out an old barn and found this machine. Nancy |
