MaryMo 04-21-2014 11:57 AM

these are going where? I've seen some good packing and your's is among the tops!

n2scraplvr 04-21-2014 12:12 PM

Thanks, MaryMo! These went last mo. to www.kidzquiltz.org in Fort Lupton, Colorado. They have 30 machines and kids come in and help out to get credits for school doing community work finishing the quilts. They even give tax credits for the donations!

I thought maybe posting this would help others to know to roll their quilts for maximum postage benefits!

Diane007 04-21-2014 02:39 PM

you can pack for me any day

QuiltnNan 04-21-2014 02:52 PM

nanacc 04-21-2014 03:35 PM

Wow! You are the only person I have ever found who could pack like my Mother!!! I swear she could move an entire household in the family vehicle! :o

Teddybear Lady 04-21-2014 05:05 PM

You and my husband have a natural talent for packing. I'm a "cram it in" sort of girl and he's "Mr. Precise measurements" packer. haha

n2scraplvr 04-21-2014 05:20 PM

Yep, I've got every inch covered! haha!

I'll have to show this thread to my Dh. He is a precision packer. He will appreciate this. Very cool!

Great packing! When I packed to move down here 20 years ago, I used my towels and other linens to pack my dishes and even some of my small stash of scraps. I also use Ziploc bags and squeeze the air out.

MargeD 04-23-2014 08:25 AM

I'd say that you have a real knack for getting the most into a box when packing. Great job and a great cause.

Here's how to put the arrows in the pics: Have fun with it!! n2

p.s. to fill in with color like I did on the sample below, just click on 'fill in with color' and pick your color.

heather1949 04-24-2014 01:18 AM

That puts a new meaning on packed in like sardines lol.

Ginny4jah 04-24-2014 12:02 PM

That's what I call 'professional' packing!! Great job!!

I forgot to say to 'right-click on the pic you want to draw arrows on, then click on 'edit.' Paint should come up, but if not you can always go to 'all programs', 'accessories', and 'Paint' and then click on 'file', 'open', and then your pictures will come up and you'll find the pic you want, click on it and start editing! Just scroll across the icons to see what each one does. It's all so easy! Good luck! n2
