I'm so glad this is a planned gift - the more I look at this quilt the more I don't like it!

I LOVED the stack of fabric when I bought it/while it was sitting on my shelf - but the more I pieced this quilt the more I didn't like it.

I guess it's okay, but I really had to force myself to finish it. If it were for me and not a wedding gift, it may have been trashed/traded/ufo'd...

Love the colors, i am a big fan of lime green, we are our own worse critics.

Well, I think you have done a beautiful job, despite your feelings about it. It's not a palette I use, but it is quite appealing. Now off you go and do something you really feel passionate about.

I like the pattern and I wonder if you had used a bright yellow instead of so much white if you would be happier with it. I got a good laugh as I understand why you like the fabrics. They looked familiar so I went down to my sewing room and now I know why...I have these patterns sitting there waiting for me to make something. So I guess we have good taste in material.LOL

thanks for the comment on the quilting -- i tried to do something a little extra special since i was hating it so much. The top is quilted in sukly pearl white (sparkly) thread and the bottom is a varigated green...

Hey its a fun quilt. If the colors are such that the couple likes them then its more than a fun quilt its a pretty quilt that was made with love. Especially if you didnt enjoy making it. You kept at it because you believed it would please someone you care about. That is a gift of love. Now onto a project you will LOVE working on!
