I just finished making this for my daughter. .She loves bags/purses.. I took a picture of it before I gave it to her! She was thrilled. It was such a simple and quick pattern.. Very sturdy bag... I want to make another one now for me this time !

What an enchanting purse!! I really like the fabric choices! Was it difficult? How long did it take you? :-P :-P

Is that the one that takes 7 yards of fabric?

Lisa T 04-12-2010 11:09 AM

I love this bag! You did a wonderful job. Your daughter will love it.

I have a yard of the floral fabric in blue and aqua and I don't want to cut it!! I just pet it every once in a while.

I like it - I am sure she will as well.

I don't remember.. I was at my lqs and saw the pattern and just had them cut the material. I will check the pattern tonight and let you know how much it takes

I'm thinking of making the Aqua and Blue material into one for me .... I will have to go back to my LQS to get it!

I'm thinking the one you're thinking of is Amy Butler's Weekender Bag....it doesn't really need that much unless you're matching patterns I think though.

Very pretty. I love the bag. Infact I bought that pattern and forgot about it so I'm glad you shared yours. Now the search will be on to find mine. I even bought some similar fabric for it as yours. I'm glad you said it was simple and quick. Hopefully finding it will be the same. Thanks for sharing
Also you make a great model :D

Super looking bag, aberi!! Love the fact the opening is right under the arm area. In some countries, this bag would be a godsend because of the wallet snatchers on the loose. Snazzy and classy and great photo of you! Thanks for sharing!! :D :D

craftybear 04-17-2010 01:27 PM

Wow, I love your bag, was it easy to make???

ann clare 04-17-2010 01:59 PM
