Hello,

I just finished this quilt top for my Son & now I am not so sure that I really like it. Help me out, what do you think? My son is in his late 50's. Thank you in advance.

Quilt Top for my adult son.

I think it is appropriate for a man. Are you afraid it doesn't match his personality? Adults like space, Americana and the other things I see in the quilt. Being 50 doesn't mean he has to be an old fuddy-duddy. I am 54 and still "young at heart". :D I like the way the blue flame like material pulls all the other fabric together.

Very nice. I used a couple of those fabrics in a quilt for my dad,

Oh I love it. My husband and son would love it since they are very much interested in space and water. Your son will like it because you made it and because it's beautiful.

My husband would love it. He is 60 and still a trekkie. If I have to watch one more Star Trek movie or show and we have all of them on DVD and he watches them over and over and over. He even mouths the words, because he has them all memorized. Crazy, but somebody has to love him.

This is so funny because my husband is not a trekkie..BUT he loves Star Wars?? He has 200$ light sabers that he plays with regularly?
I purposley misprounounce them as "lifesavers" and he always corrects me .LOL. ..OH I also call yoda..yoga..LOL

My youngest DD and DS were always and still are (27 and 32) Trekies as am I. When DD was in high school, she had a watch that played the theme from Star Trek, the original series. We were at the university where my hubby works at a performance of Macbeth and...yep, she bent her wrist wrong and managed to press the button and activate the song...it was LOUD! Oh, my oldest DD at age 37 still loves Strawberry Shortcake. For her Bday, I gave her a scarf with SS embroidered on it! She loved it! ;)

Funny, my husband loves Star Trek and just thinks Star Wars is ok. He is almost insulted when someone talks to him about Star Wars, like he should be just as interested. He liked the movies, but I guess not just the same. He was older when Star Wars came out, but not that old. I enjoy them all, but definitely not a Trekkie. He was so upset when they took the Star Trek ride and exhibit out of the Hilton in Las Vegas. We go there 4 to 5 times a year and that was the highlight for him. We use to shop in the gift shop and I was so afraid he would buy a uniform, because I knew he would wear it other than Halloween.

Handquilter, have you seen this by Maureenann. I just bought the background fabric for a quilt for my husband. Not sure what I am going to add to it.
