I don't recall seeing one with a boarder and I really, really like it. Seems to frame it up so nicely.

Beautiful and now the question, how many different colors do you have there and how big are the squares? Super job and glad to know it isn't that tough to do.

I have 20 fabrics, two colors, dark to light. I have 8 shades of purple and 12 shades of blue....the lightest blue I replaced with a white because I like white. Some of the squares are 1/2 inch by 1 inch when sewn, but you don't really work with a square that tiny because the bargello technique is different. You sew strips of fabric together and then cut those strips into strips. The largest square is 2 1/2 inches by 1 inch....but, again, you don't sew that tiny a square to another. It is all strips. It takes a bit of organization and I had to read the directions lots, but it wasn't hard and I enjoyed the whole process. It isn't a quick quilt, but I wasn't looking for a quick one. I fell for the pattern.
I just sandwiched the top, batting and backing and will quilt it tomorrow...if I can decide how I want to do it, that is. At the same time, in the back of my mind, I am planning my next one....another bargello, just not sure which one.
