I used a blanket stitch. I have an old Elna sewing machine I bought in 1973 and it has a few stitches and cams thay are put in for decorative stitching.. I didn't think my blanket stitch was going to come out but Sue helped me get it right, otherwise I was going to use zigzag. She was great she went around to everone there. I had a picture I took of the flower pattern called Ashley basket but I wasn't sure if I could post it or not. I bought that pattern but once I was there decided to do the flower I did until I knew what I was getting into. My friend and I are going to take a quilting class that she offers at a LQS in Ann Arbor MI near where she lives. That should be really interesting. I'll try to post a closer view of the flower.
