I know, I know, more rugs.......

I've finally gotten back to the sewing machine. Had the cording made earlier this winter, but got these three rugs stitched up recently.
Stenciled and stitched up fall themed pillows this weekend. The first picture is of the fronts and the second is the backs. I cut up a coordinating panel and border print for some of the backs. I typically sell at craft fairs in the fall, but I seriously dought there's going to be any, with Covid floating around. I also sew for our local hospital gift shop, but it is currently closed too, it is ran by the hospital volunteer's and many of them are not volunteering currently due to many of them are in the high risk category. But I look at it this way, they won't spoil, go bad, or expire, and they are done, I'll just fill the pillows when I am able to sell them, much easier to store them flat for now. Quick projects to work on during the summer months, as menopause is kicking my butt this summer, don't think I could have a quilt top on me as I pieced it during these hot summer months. Ugh....🥵 Attachment 626348Attachment 626349Attachment 626350Attachment 626351 |
Great pillow shams and lovely rugs!

I enjoyed seeing your lovely rugs. Your work is fabulous !
|
I like the way you quilted the rounds of the rugs... I've never seen them sewn with flat rounds like that... very pretty
|
Keep on stitching those rugs and pillows.
Your projects look great for Fall or anytime. I love that little peek of cows in one of the rugs. |
Terrific projects. You are very talented. Best wishes with your craft fairs. Stay safe!

Pretty pillows....and rugs too!

Your rugs and pillows are beautiful. I have never tried my hand at rug making and this is an inspiration. I am not quite ready and wish there was someone close by to me to teach me a few tips.. For now I will continue to quilt away!

Love your pillows and rugs. You did a great job on all of your projects.

I wish I knew how to make these. Yours are beautiful.

Awesome work Kara...you certainly have been busy sewing. Wonderful projects and hopefully you will find some place to sell them.

Your rugs are beautiful. Some of the best I've ever seen.

Could you share if you used a pattern, and if so, what it is called? If no pattern was used, would you please share your process? I would love to make a long oval runner for my hallway and have no idea how to do this.
Thanks, Suzanne |

I hope this works. I posted my tips in a thread 7/6/19. I have never posted a link to a previous thread before. I use the RJ Designs pattern. |

I really love your rug. I want to make one and I have purchased the roll of batting now to get up enough courage to make it. It will be my first try. Wish me luck and any tips would help.
