Here are pictures of my last 3 quilts. I learned something new with each one. I also glue basted my backing. I used the back fold over method. It was so much easier.
I needed to pay more attention to the seam allowance, so my corners would match up. The back of the quilt. It took me most of the day to work out this pattern. Can you see it? Here's the back. Quilt for Kids..I learned that you shouldn't sew the side borders together and then attach them to the quilt. Here's the back. I learned how to spray baste. I glue basted my intersections on the 4-block. Much better corner connections. |

Margie, those are great! Thanks for the design, it will really come in handy for me because I buy a lot of 10" squares on sale, and try to use those instead of keeping a lot of yardage. Cutting them into 5" gives me a lot of D9P design alternatives. Do you stitch in the ditch, or hand quilt the squares? Thanks again!

Your quilts are so cute and great helper maybe a future quilter.

Cute quilts and kiddo!

I stitched in the ditch. Saving the hand quilting for something special.

Great job, you'll learn tons more as you go along:) cute blanket holder too:)

Margie,
I love your quilts! Your model looks like he's around my boys age. We have 4 boys 13, 10, 10 and 7 (then our girl is 3). So, were all the quilts for him or did he pick which one was his favorite? I LOVE using the glue to hold things in place!! :) |
