Very pretty and your "wood" fabric is awesome.

Yours is the most realist looking "windows" I've seen. I would love to see tute. I have quite a few panels that would look great like this!

I need to add this one to my Santa collection. Beautiful quilt. I have to check on this at the LQS.

Great way to use a panel. Love it.

Just checked out the tute and it's great! Really appreciate all your time and effort. I had been checking out some attic window patterns on the internet after I saw your thread and believe me your directions are much clearer than the ones I read. And pictures really help! Thanks again!!

I think the first thing you would need to do is to make sure you aren't cutting into Santa's face or something like that. Before you start cutting, audition the separate "panes" to see what they would look like when separated. On some prints, it might be better to actually cut out a strip where the wood goes to make the picture look more realistic.

brod71 12-05-2014 07:09 AM

Wow! It looks so real! Love it!

Poakie 12-05-2014 07:18 AM

Isn't it interesting how some of the older posts just POP back up! Guess it's because you did such a great job and maybe it's the first time some members have ventured into "archived" things. And yes... he's fun!
