I made a bionic gear bag too!

I started this yesterday afternoon and would have finished except my pup dog decided she needed attention, so I finished it this morning. It did go together really easy, the directions were very straightforward. The only thing that I found that made attaching the 22" zipper was to attach it opened as much as possible. This was made from fabrics in my stash. I did have to buy zippers and wouldn't you know Walmart only had 3 of each color, so I got 2 white and 2 black. Thanks rip stitcher for coming up with this design.

You're very welcome. Can't wait to see what comes next. I just ordered a whole bunch of zippers from amazon to make more for gifts.

It looks great!

SandraV 07-30-2014 09:30 PM

Love this bag. The zippered size is deceiving. You open it up and BAM!

gabeway 07-31-2014 05:31 AM

Very attractive.

tessagin 07-31-2014 05:36 AM

Really like this! Love your fabric for it!

The Needle Wallet is happening next - as soon as I *find* the WIP that went AWOL during the move... I *know* I put that work in a *safe* place! The little zip up Dumpling Dish & the Needle Wallet were together ... famous last words, huh?

Here's the pic of the Needle Wallet, in case you missed it... I took a picture of it before it went into hiding:

:)

Misty's Mom 07-31-2014 01:39 PM

Can't wait. Is it as easy as the gear bag?

RipStitcher 07-31-2014 02:01 PM

It's easier... no zippers. LOL

The fun thing is getting to try running the fabric through an inkjet printer with freezer paper... I had never done that before - and wow - it's cool.

Gotta love the geeky-quilter that originally came up with that idea!!!

Misty's Mom 07-31-2014 02:26 PM

I've never printed on fabric. Can't wait to try.

MFord 07-31-2014 02:44 PM

Definitely going to make these!

very nice bag, love that zipper/handle

Nammie to 7 08-08-2014 01:35 PM

That is the coolest bag! Everytime I see one I get the itch to make one of my own! Nice work! Is the pattern for sale at quilt shops?

AllyStitches 08-08-2014 02:06 PM

Super cute!!! I love the colors.

My dog also comes to a point where he's had enough of me sewing and wants some love. :-)

noahscats7 08-08-2014 03:25 PM

Maybe I missed something. Love this but where is pattern available?

RedGarnet222 08-08-2014 04:25 PM

Beautiful sewing accessory bag! I need to make mine too. I want to make it in a few coordinating fabrics. If it is truly easy as you say, maybe my 4 sister in laws will get one each too. They travel so much, it would be handy for them.

QM 08-08-2014 04:45 PM

You did a good job.

Yes, , it is easy. Just read the directions several times, I highlighted stuff I would be looking for during the bag making. I got another one half made yesterday. You get lots of practice putting zippers in, but I like that part. I'm going to use this bag to put DH meds and insulin in when we go to clinics or travel. It'll hold a lot more than that, also a couple of snacks, etc. the list is endless. Beware!! They're very addicting :) :)

Maggie_Sue 08-08-2014 05:55 PM

Your bag inspired me to get this pattern now I just need to find some time to make it!!! Yours is great!

BrendaK 08-08-2014 06:12 PM
