No, left over vinyl from a poorly thought out design for a raincoat. And less than one yard of home dec. I have a good source for upholstery fabric, so every now and then I get on a tote bag kick.

Dorothy of Kansas 04-06-2010 06:16 PM

WOW!! That came out nice!!!

earthwalker 04-06-2010 06:17 PM

That is really, seriously stylish...Well done!

susie0808 04-06-2010 06:25 PM

Really nice! Did you add a liner? Well done is right!!

Pam 04-06-2010 06:30 PM

I lined it with the same home dec, and the same for the simple pockets that go around the inside, they are the same as the pockets that go around the entire outside of the bag.

craftybear 04-06-2010 06:43 PM

Wow, I love your bag

sewsue 04-06-2010 06:46 PM

I would not know where to sell them, or what to ask! I do have a ready supply of fabric, that is for sure! These are upholstery remnants that I purchase at a flea market.

Get a blog - or craft fairs, or both!

JenniePenny 04-07-2010 05:47 AM

Pam, that looks like a high-end designer bag! Great job. I coordinate a craft fair in my town every fall - I'm sure you would sell these non-stop throughout the day at that fair.

Bevanger 04-07-2010 06:30 AM

very nice job!

thimblebug6000 04-07-2010 07:18 AM

Looks wonderful, you must have quite a sturdy machine to stitch so nicely through all that thickness.

Lisa_wanna_b_quilter 04-07-2010 07:51 AM

That is a great bag!

I have an old Benina. It is about 18 years old, and sews like a dream. I think it is the last model before they went computerized. It is the 1031. I hope it never breaks down, I could not afford to replace it now!
