What a great story and a good idea for inspiration. I will have to look more closely at ties for pattern ideas and color combinations.

What are you going to do with the tie? Some fabric in tie are prettier on the back side than the front. When you open it up, you will find a very unusual pattern/texture to the back side of the fabric too...try to incorporate some of that in your project.

wow ya'll are so nice to me.. I am blushing. hmm looking in mirror, that is a pretty pink.. think I can match it at store??? lol I see quilts and quilt material in everything but the casserole I cooked for supper.. it was YUCKY and half burnt cause I was sewing!!
PS.. I am nice to people cause I like them!! Momma taught me to be nice and I would see so much good in the world.. be a snit and that is all you would see in the world.. well snit is not the word she used but this is G rated..
