You remember seeing this, well I had some fabric strips and extra fabric left and got the bright idea on the second pic. Now I don't know what to do to finish the top to be queen-king size. The bed in the pic is King. I know you ladies and gents will give me good advice. .. What kind of blocks or other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am stumped for ideas at this time, but it's enormously beautiful.
|
I'd put a large border row of large blocks around each side, then another plain border, then binding.
|
how about a pieced border like this? ////////////////
|
Large outer border of log cabin blocks, star blocks, applique border......
|
I was thinking along the same line as Cherylsea. It would be a little bit of work but a a border of small star blocks all the way around in coordinating fabric and color would be beautifu.

Do you have more of the same fabrics? or can get them?
I'd be likely to keep the extended borders quite simple ... and not steal the show from the Staburst centre. Otherwise, I'd work with it at the size it is at now, and use it elsewhere than on your king bed. It really is lovely!! |
if you need the log cabin one larger, you can add borders on three sides only if necessary.
the lovely star one could use blocks around and then another border. a variety of blocks if you like. |
I've already finished the log cabin heart quilt, I just needed some suggestions on the starburst top. Going to put some blocks around it, I guess. and then some more borders.
|
I would do a row of star blocks all the way around.
