I need your advice and help

Hello everyone!
I need your advice and help.
On Monday we bought a new dressoir to place next to the front door of our House. The top is lacquered wood so it should be a way for protection.
I designed one runner with my EQ7 and finished sewing last night. We show some photos.
The top measures 8.25" x 29,25" and each block 6" x 6".
Today I have to attend a photography course, but tomorrow I want to do the quilting.
Intended to make only a stitching in the ditch, only around the blocks, but it occurred to me that someone could give me some simple idea in this regard. Remember that I only did straight quilting.
I would appreciate your help and thank you very much for looking!
A large and strong hug!

I'm no help with the quilting but I love the runner you have made. It's beautiful!

I love it....i know you say only straight stitching - i am mostly the same with my quilts -- but.....i think a stitch in the ditch along the "curved" edges, continuing around the center square, would not be too difficult if you went slowly.... I have stitched around many curved pieces this way and it works as long as i go slowly. With or without this -
Es muy muy bonita !!!!

Nice. You can do curly quilting on it. Something like this pic. It's a little different in the block shape, but you should get the idea.

I was going to suggest this as well, with echo quilting between the these two lines, sort of like sun rays with a curve.

I think SITD would be my choice. The pattern is intricate and I wouldn't want the quilting to distract from the pattern. It will be beautiful whatever you decide!

oh my goodness i love this..fabulous work..now to find a pattern like this

This pattern is in the book 101 Log Cabin Blocks for Paper Piecing- -- they are all variations of the log cabin - sorry, can't remember the author - but i have the book and it's great !!

what a wonderful runner

I'd go with circles myself, it would be complimentary to the shapes but still interesting to the eye and bit dramatic in a bold thread. Perhaps a spiral circle design. Can't wait to see what you come up with!!!

Thanks a lot, Katier825!
I appreciate the search for the photo! That helps me a lot, but not be if I dare make that quilt! But can I save in my favorites to try to design and test your great idea!
A hug!

Thank you very much, Tartan!
That's what I thought, but it seemed to me that something was missing
Now I have lots of ideas! If only thinking one might make the quilt... would have magnificent quilts! Lol!
A hug!

I estimate that some day I can do that!

I love your runner, but am no help with the quilting.

Thank's for looking and your kind words!
A hug!

I don't think it would look like it was "Missing anything" Gladys. As others have said it would just bring out the pattern even more! Wonderful again!

krista 10-12-2012 11:24 AM

That is beautiful! Great job and how ever you quilt it will be wonderful!

Blinkokr 10-12-2012 11:36 AM

Just wonderful, great job and thank you for sharing
Have a Blessed day

I also like what you are doing here. PenniF made exactly the suggestion I would have made.

Hello everyone!
I wanted to show you two photos of my progress!
I hope you like it as the quilting is!
Tomorrow I may not follow. I'm doing a basic photography course, and we will go hiking to a zoo to a nearby city.
I hope on Sunday to finish the quilting, hide threads, place the binding and show them the finished product on Monday!
THANK YOU ALL FROM MY HEART!
A big hug!

Jammin' Jane 03-27-2013 10:22 AM

GV09 04-03-2013 12:47 PM

Hello, Jammin 'Jane!
Thanks a lot! You are so sweet with me! We apologize for the delay, I was holidays!
A big hug!
