I showed it to my DH and he liked it and said it looked fine for a guy. Of course I really like it too. The colors are nice together.

No, no, no...it is not "girly" at all. I wonder what your husband sees in it that makes him think "girly"? It is PERFECT. I have seen men's shirts that have fabrics that look "girly" to me, yet the men buy them. Love the colors and the fabrics. I am sure the young man is going to love it.

Gorgeous quilt!! Unfortunately I agree that most young college age males won't like the teal (sorry).
|
the younger generation loves color! I don't think its' too girly at all
|
The quilt looks great. I am using some of the same colors for my BIL a quilt throw.

I asked my 15-year-old son (with no mention of the discussion) if he'd take this to college, and after hemming and hawing (and I told him to be honest, no one's feelings would be hurt), he said he thought it was kind of feminine.
I didn't think it was girly at all. Go figure. |
I don't see anything girly about it either! Bet he likes it just fine
|
I think it's beautiful, and my DH agrees. He's a pink-a-phobe, but he likes this quilt. He said the black was a good touch for a guy quilt (I think its actually your dark brown that's reading black), and he also said that a dash of burgundy in it maybe in the corners would be nice too (??)

Well If he doesn't like it, I 'll volunteer to go to school in his place. I love it!

Ask the GS. He will be the one who has to live with it.
