I had 2- 15" pillow forms and I needed a little more color on the sofa, so I decided to make these pillows. the background pillows were made a month ago, they were left over blocks from a quilt I made a while ago. I make them with an opening in the back so I can switch them out whenever I want to change them, plus they are very easy to romove and throw in the wash

Love them, especially the fact that you can take them off and wash them, since we all know we LIVE in our houses.

Oh dear they are perfect!! Darn it- now I have yet another project added to my list!! I am so inspired by you ALL the time! I will have to stop reading any of your posts!!!

Nice pillow!
I read somewhere recently to use the button placads from old shirts to use on the back of pillows, just button them closed LOL |
They are beautiful! Great job! I love the fact they're easily removable.

Oh I thought of that one and even saw some cute patterns for them.....But I have two pug dogs that love to chew buttons off of things so that is not going to work for me..... I even have to remove the eyes from stuffed animal toys. But thankyou for the suggestion.

What a great way to freshen up your decor. I may make some for different seasons, and that way everything doesn't always look exactly the same. Much easier than painting and alot more fun

What a great idea! I love them. :D
Can you PLEASE tell me more about how you did the back? How much of an overlap is there in the opening? Yes, now I'll need to make some for changing seasons & holidays. |
Those are so cute!

Those are lovely! I love the colours and the appliqué is really cute. I do my pillows like that too - simple but effective! I don't MIND sewing on buttons just don't like making the holes! LOL
