Took a picture near my neighborhood this fall of one of the many hot air balloons that grace the skies in our valley on a regular basis. I have GOT to make a quilt like this!! Mt. Timpanogos in the background, sunflowers in the foreground... and a beautiful quilt in the sky.

I think about, dream about, write about, design, piece, quilt, help my girls quilt, can't wait to get up in the morning to quilt, and pretty much live quilting every day. Life is a patchwork anyway, right??! I've even dreamed about making a dessert with half of it topped with pecans, and half topped with cashews, cut into squares, then triangles, then laid out like my Carpenter's Star quilt to serve... Maybe I'll try that for my next guild party! I love it when two of my passions collide!

That is a WONDERFUL picture!! Where I work we are having a Christmas light event and on two of the nights we are having tethered hot air balloon rides :-)

I was watching the news the other night and the newscaster had on a purple tie--all I could think was "I need that exact color to finish my wallhanging".
