I made this quilt for a military person serving overseas. I decided to find someone from my town and send it to them. An idea I got from some lovely ladies in another thread on this awesome board.

This should give the recipient some really interesting things to look at. Wonder how many they will remember and how much conversation it will start. Neat!

Wildyard,

Oh, my goodness. You just decided to make that quilt top 2 days ago, and now it's finished?! Whee! American Pie is a great idea for a soldier overseas -- I'm sure it will remind someone of many happy memories "back home." How great that you added the personal note in the yellow border.

You dun gut!

Nice job Wildyard. Somebody will have a cozy quilt and they will know that there are people here who are thinking of them.

Love the I Spy! It is such a fun quilt that will bring lots of happy thoughts for someone.

I'm curious to know what batting do you quilters use for the servicepersons' quilts?

I put fleece on the backs of mine so I do not add a batting.
