I Spy Baby Quilt and Spiderman Attic Window
4 Attachment(s)
Here are two recent finishes, the front and back of each.
I mentioned here that I was having second thoughts about the I Spy baby quilt I was making for a friend's granddaughter, in that she is probably not a "quilt person." Some of you suggested giving it, anyway, with the idea that my friend could keep it at her house for when the baby visits. I've decided to do that on the theory that once given, you can't expect to have control over what happens to it.
The other -- the Spiderman Attic Window, which is actually first in the photos below -- is an experiment. My son, who collects comics, has an extensive all things Spiderman collection, and so I bought a panel with the idea of making this attic window, probably as a wall hanging. Had I it to do over, I would have made far fewer "windows", maybe 4 or 6 large windows, so that the image would be less chopped up. The panel cuts show in places, mainly his eye and his foot. But it was fun to do and I hope my son will appreciate it. </SPAN></SPAN></SPAN>
A side note: I had great difficulty loading these images and finally decided (realized) it was because they were too large. These are from a new camera and I didn't know they were considerably larger than those from my previous camera. I've decreased each by half, but have no idea how they will look, once posted. I hope, like Goldilocks, that they are neither too big nor too small, but just right!
