I used a stripe on the back. It turned out pretty cute. Hope you all like it as much as I do!
I would do another one of these. It took me a little while to figure out how to quilt it. I just meandered on the bow ties and left the blocks. Then I found some verigated thread and did the borders with that. Stitched the binding onto the back and used a "fancy" stitch on the front so I didn't have to hand stitch it. Thanks to all who helped me decide what to do!!! |
Very cute!

Oh that is so cute. Somebody is going to spend lots of fun time hunting for things while all cuddled up!

What a bright and cheerful quilt 2 Doods! It turned out great. I like how you quilted it and the binding really sets it off. Don't you love working with verigated threads? I think they add a little extra interest to the right quilt!

Great job! I am sort of new to quilting. Just started last summer. This is my 7th quilt    First I Spy-wasn't really sure what it was when I started it. Just heard people talking about them so I googled it. :D I didn't have a pattern. I started with the 4" squares and made them into snowballs and made four patches to seperate them. The bow ties fit since the babies grandpa is known for wearing them. |
Only your 7th? Bravo 2 Doods!
I did a baby quilt not long ago and used a pastel verigated and it just added so much to the overall effectg. I don't think every quilt would call for it, but when you get it on the right one, it's pretty cool. :) |
It's adorable!
