I Started These Quilts in 2002
4 Attachment(s)
In 2002 I took my very first machine quilting class at Hancock Fabric. I was the gal's only student so I received a lot of attention. These 2 quilts were my 2nd and 3rd quilts. The green one is a Christmas theme and the other one is a Southwestern theme. I learned that I am not a match stuff up kind of quilter, I am a wonky quilter (as evidenced by the wonky hearts I quilted on the Southwestern quilt). I decided to use a decorative stitch to quilt the Christmas quilt. It only took me 12 years to do it, but they are done!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your fancy stitches on the first one. Going to copy that idea for sure. Thanks so much for the inspiration and creativity. I have a quilt in my closet, unfinished since the 70's.

I was once told that fabric, like fine wine, has to be aged, so why can't the same be true for quilts?
|
Congrats on your finishes
