I survived the blizzard!

This little wall quilt challenged me in many ways-mostly, I used a new to me high loft batting, and it apparently is not meant for me! I won the batting at a quilt show last year and thought this would be a fun small project to give it a try. The trees are 4" blocks. Just kind of made it up as I went. I had a difficult time taming down the background, but thanks to lots of helpful suggestions here, I survived. Ha. Sort of lost the snowflakes in the background....will do better next time. The trees have a trapunto effect and I like that.

I like the way your quilt looks!!!

What a challenge, but I love it. It looks like a blizzard to me, and the flakes were not lost in the swirlies. Super winter scene!

I like everything about that quilt.

So nice - everywhere I look, there is some new detail - great quilting and piecing too.

It turned out great! Your loop de loops did a nice job taming the puffy.

It's very pretty, and the high loft batting really brings out your nice quilting. I used a high loft batting on a baby quilt I made, and did some hand embroidery on it, and it really did well.

Love your wall hanging and that border fabric is great with it! Almost didn't notice the packages under the tree. Your quilting choices are great even with the high loft batting. There always seems to be a lesson learned when one makes a quilt. Guess that's how we continue to grow.

Beautiful! Snowflakes are not entirely lost. I can see them. I also see the little packages under the tree. So cute.
