I am going to try this also, one of the gals in our group says this is so easy and fast when you learn it.

I started my first piece yesterday and ripped out about every other piece. I think I have the hang of it now...or pretty close. I love your pieces

Love your work. |
Very cool... especially the fairy quilt godmother... I'm addicted to piecing too.... thanks for sharing.
WOW! I am impressed! I want to learn to do that in the near future!
Those are great! I don't do PP often enough to remember how to do it so EVERY time I PP, I have to relearn!! LOL Love your quilt fairy. I still haven't done mine....maybe someday!
great job...do you actually use paper? If so what kind?
great job. I love pp too.
I share your new addiction!! Nice work , hope to see more of this new addiction!
I have just started paper piecing and like you, have a seam ripper best friend. You did good!!! These are very nice - it is fun but frustrating at times with great results if all goes as planned.
Wow, wow and wow! I haven't taken the step of faith to start paper piecing, but I love the projects that you did for a newbie! And I do have seam rippers, so I'm not sure what's stopping me. . . Nice finished pieces!
Oops - forgot to mention, in case you do not already know about Carol Doak that you can find all kinds of free paper piecing patterns on her website. I have made several of her blocks and have more to do. One thing that is nice about her patterns is that she gives the dimensions of the fabric piece needed for each number in the block which made it so much easier for me. CarolDoak.com

Paper piecing is so much fun. I love your projects. I especially love the tulip pot.

Very well done! So....what was the biggest lesson you learned..other than how to rip? =)
Would some one be so kind to PM me and tell me what or how to paper piece? I have no idea what it is. Thanks so much.
Very nice job!
Great job! I have been toying with the idea of learning to paper piece. Did you use any particular resources that you would recommend?
Beautiful job! I have just recently discovered my love of paper piecing. I have to go slow, but I really enjoy it. And I don't even mind ripping the paper out. I even ordered 3 paper piecing books. God them all, now I need to get busy!
Good for you. Looks like you've got the technique down pat. Thanks for sharing.
Such pretty work. You should join the group 50 Fabulous Paper-Pieced Stars. My first star there was my first time ever doing PP and I admit it was a disaster. But I fixed it and moved on :) everyone is so helpful. I know there are other groups and PP swaps. I've found it's so fun to join in. Thank you for sharing.

#1 - Pay attention to what fabric goes where. #2 - Pay attention which way you lay the fabric over the space you are covering or when you fold it back it will not be covering the space that it should. If you don't do #1 and #2 then you will get to know your seam ripper really well.... |
Great job.Try some of Carol Doaks books she is a master of paper patterns. Her books will keep you quilting for a lifetime.
Great job. I just love to pp. You should go to caroldoak.com She has some free patterns on her site and also a yahoo group which she also does free pattern
Great job!
Great work, Paper Piecing makes the impossible - POSSIBLE - you probably figured that out doing the eyes of your Quilting Godmother, as they say "Ask me how I know?" Keep up the great work!
Love these and your kitty in your avatar. Do you raise Persians?
I have not attempted paper piecing yet but I love how precisely a design comes together with pp. Yours are wonderful!

No I don't raise persians. I got her almost 17 years ago (had the choice between her and her sister but I chose Opal because she had two different colored eyes) and she is one spoiled rotten old lady. |
great job, I like paper piecing to. Isn't it amazing the points you can get with paper piecing.
