I tried something different

I made a rug from a 20 strip jelly roll for my bathroom. The room is very small and I couldn't find a rug in the size I wanted so I made it. The pattern is called Jelly-Roll Rug by R. J. Designs. I used lots of scrap batting in it by cutting the strips and sewing them together. It was a challenge but I love it.

Looks sharp and custom made! I just watched a Youtube of the process. I need new rugs in the kitchen and think this would work great...thanks for the inspiration.

Cute rug!

How cool is that! A custom made rug. Bet you smile every time you go in there.

It's perfect for this size room, looks great!

Great job, I'll have to watch youtube to see how that is done. So nice to actually use what you make!
A1Penny search for "Official Jelly Roll Rug Tutorial"...she does a good job of putting it together.
very pretty!! I hadn't thought of making a smaller version! Good idea!!
So bright. It brings a nice pop of color to your powder room.

Awesome rug, really brightens the bathroom. How do you keep it from slipping on the floor?
Love it very much!
I really like your rug for your bathroom. It is just the right size and cheerful. I want to make one (or more) but I am afraid of throw rugs on the floor for tripping. We are in our 80's and fear falling. But, I really like them.
Looks great. You did a wonderful job.
Yours turned out great. Did you have any trouble with it starting to "bowl". I have heard that many have that problem.
That is gorgeous! Love your bright colors.

Your mat is lovely and the colours go really well.
I love it. I have been meaning to make one also.
Great job!! I've thought about trying but hear so many stories about bowing.
Love the colors and it turned out very nice.
Adds color to the room.
Beautiful. I think I would like to make one.
OMG, I love it too!
Beautiful colors. Love it. grma33 I have been trying to do a toothbrush rug, from watching videos and encouragement from the quilting board. Its lopsided, probably will take me a while to finish. I have a terrible habit of starting and not finishing. I have my jelly roll sewed together to do the jelly roll rug, then started something else. Waiting for SIL to come out and help.

So pretty and colorful :)

Perfect for the space and I love the colors. Also impressed that it is lovely and flat. (Mine got huge waves in it and I gave up_
Awesome rug!
