I'm new here - and sort of new to quilting too. I'm going to try to post this picture (bmp format) so I hope it will post.

This is Spinning Stripes by Animas Patterns made with Maywood Studios Fuchsia fabric. I just love the fabric.

I found this kit at Teacup Quilts in Las Vegas when we took a trip there. The owner is just super!!! Nice shop with lots of fabric.

The quilt was a challenge to me - to cut just right. And I got a bit off and it's not perfect. Maybe someone has a suggestion to correct the "too full" background triangles. I was thinking of ripping the seams out and reattaching the borders - so it will lay flat for quilting.

Very nice job! I love how the fabric seems to give the blocks a spinning effect. At least that's how I see it.

Chele 02-29-2008 04:01 PM

You did a great job! It's really pretty.

I love the colors and motion in your quilt. You might find the looseness in the setting corners disappears in the quilting, depending on how close the quilting is. I hate taking things apart :) I hope it works out for you, it's such a pretty thing.

Holy cow, that fuscia quilt is stunning, gorgeous and wonderful. I love it and have been studying it to see how those little tiny flower buds around the edges got there. I'm sure it's part of the fabric and you fussy cut it but wow! for a new quilter you sure did an outstanding job with it. Thank you so much for sharing.
