Beautiful quilt, awesome work!

It is gorgeous, just gorgeous.
Done is best. What ever you do will be wonderful. I am just in love with feathers so I would do intertwining feathers over the whole thing. But time is not a consideration when I am quilting. |
It's so soft and pretty. I would probably quilt leaves and flowers on it.

look at the Leah Day site on you tube- she has some really great ideas, and has been trying a new one every day. I really like the colors on your quilt :-)

I was not able to get to quilting it on Monday. I am leaving in a few minutes to drive down to my daughters house to hold my grandson. I will have to work on this Wednesday. Thank you for your suggestions. I may try a meander with some flowers in it. I'm thinking of trying to follow the "stair-step" of the larger rectangles too. I just hope I can do a good job on it!!!

It is a gorgeous quilt. However you decide to quilt it, it's gonna be beautiful and loved by your dear friend.
Enjoy your time with that grandbaby!! |

Gayle, a design I've used many times is to draw diagonal lines 3" apart going from upper left to lower right and then upper right to lower left (like cross hatching, but on the diagonal).
Then sew a wavy line over all the drawn lines. It's really fast and there doesn't have to be any perfection to it. I'll add a picture of some placemats that I did this on. It might be hard to see on this picture, but hopefully you will get the idea. Enjoy your grandson today! |
