OMG! We had some flooding up here, but thank God it wasn't that bad where we are. We're at the top of the hill. The people at the bottom almost got flooded out again. It happened once when we first moved in about five years ago.

cjomomma 03-12-2011 05:16 PM

Oh my! I wouldn't want that either.

QuiltnCowgirl 03-12-2011 05:18 PM

Oh my! I hope when the water recedes there isn't major damage.

Jim's Gem 03-12-2011 05:23 PM

Oh Bummer!!! I hope you stay dry and safe!!!!

carolaug 03-12-2011 05:26 PM

Wow...that is horrible...Hope you all stay safe!

Jill 03-12-2011 05:29 PM

I was in Marietta today (in SE Ohio) visiting family and the Ohio River is flooding there, too. All the restaurants were closing and putting sandbags around their buildings. The river is supposed to crest there on Monday.

frugalfabrics 03-12-2011 05:39 PM

Praying for your safety....and that the water recedes quickly.

Gladys 03-12-2011 05:43 PM

Oh No!!

gramabiese 03-12-2011 05:51 PM

Praying for all of you. I must agree, I'd take the white stuff over that rising water any day. Hugs.

Katz13203 03-12-2011 06:03 PM

I hope that it receds soon and that everyone's property's are okay.

emerald46 03-12-2011 06:16 PM

We saw some of the flooding on the weather channel earlier..what a mess. Stay safe!

stitchinwitch 03-12-2011 06:17 PM

they both tie for last place===============on the second thought, with all of the problems that Japan is going thru we all should be grateful that we are SAFE

mamaw 03-12-2011 06:55 PM

So sad, we experienced a flood in 1987 that I won't forget. Was so afraid I wasn't going to get home to my children, but I did.

quiltinggirl 03-12-2011 06:57 PM

WOW - unbelievable! Praying that Mother Nature gives us all a break, especially Japan!! :(

SuziC 03-12-2011 07:57 PM

WOW i hope everyone is okay!

wolfkitty 03-12-2011 08:12 PM

We had a flood here in 1972 as a result of Hurricane Agnes. I wouldn't wish that on anyone!

Lv2sew2011 03-12-2011 08:14 PM

Ithink I would to

rosemaynes 03-12-2011 08:14 PM

WOW living out here in the desert ... I have never seen anything like that. I hope things get better soon for you and your location.

Treasureit 03-12-2011 08:18 PM

And you stay there? Geesh! We just had our own personal flood when a hot water pipe broke and flooded one room. 6 weeks and we are still waiting for it to be finished...can you imagine what major flooding can do? Or a Tsunami!!! My heart goes out to Japan and you.

Tilladare 03-12-2011 11:02 PM

Mother Nature needs to up her HRT!

My family live 3 blocks off the Ohio just south of Cinti...
Here's to hoping for no more rain for a bit... If only we could get a little more rain here

sandilee 03-12-2011 11:18 PM

Floods are nasty! I know cause I live here on the Mississippi River. I look for flooding around here due to all the snow we received!
Good Luck!

Jan T 03-12-2011 11:26 PM

I hope you and all of your quilts can stay high and dry.

Kitsapquilter 03-12-2011 11:42 PM

Wow!! I would also take snow over flooding!! Hope everyone is safe and the water goes down soon.

Gramof6 03-13-2011 12:09 AM

This is so sad!!! And here we so badly need rain! Amazing the differences in the weather across the various areas. Take Care and I really feel for all of you that are flooding. That is not good in any way.

QM 03-13-2011 12:16 AM

I agree, snow is much easier to deal with.

TracyRenea 03-13-2011 01:38 AM

Oh my goodness! We travel through Gallipolis on our way to Michigan. Stay dry!

BZEQUILTER 03-13-2011 10:01 AM

You have my deepest sympathy!! Our town went through a major flood in 2008. Things will never be the same here--hopefully when it is all said and done things will be better, but some of the areas close to me will never come back. The flood was nice enough to stop a house and a half from out home!!

rootyr 03-13-2011 10:10 AM

I totally agree!
