I generally lurk and say that is beautiful on everything and have some good laughs at the jokes. This group really makes my day!!!
I did this top but I am wanting a far-out border. Thought about a ribbon type but would like some input before doing so. I will be adding a 2-3'' then the ribbon. Take a look. Thanks and also Happy New Year to everyone. Kalidescope of Kolor Side view Kalidescope of Kolor |
It is beautiful. Maybe a piano key type border in all the different colors.

Sorry, can't help with the border - just want to say - it's beautiful! :)

That's a beauty!!!!!!!!!!! But I'm brain-dead at the moment so no advice :D
I don't know what you mean by a ribbon border- brain not working!! |
Wow! That's beautiful! It's hard to say about the border because I can't see the edges of the top. Can you get another picture of it spread out on the floor?
Guess I replied too quickly and didn't see the 2nd pic. I like the idea of a white, then multicolored piano key border. |
wow, love seeing the brights on white. that quilt dazzles. I would just bind that treasure and call it good, lol, but I'm sure the ladies will have some great ideas.

I think the ribbon border would finish it off nicely, or a piano key would also work. Gorgeous quilt!!

I love the colors of this quilt. Maybe pick out your favorite and go with that or pick tree colors and do a triborder. Whatever you pick, it's absolutely beautiful!!

So quick on the replies! I am amazed! Also on this (is the quilt patrol reading) I did it with batiks and NO I didn't pre-wash. A drop of water got on one of the blocks after it was put together and yes as the quilt law goes it ran. I have used the color catchers before with other stuff and it helped but I have never used the quilt wash stuff. Does it keep colors from running? On one of the old timey calendar it says to put black pepper in the final rinse water. Hummmmm LOL Robin

That is a very, very pretty quilt. I guess the border depends on how much bigger you want to go. I think I would add about 2-3" of white fabric first, then maybe make a scalloped effect, kind of like piano keys but varying the amount of white in each key. I did something like that in this quilt: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-82165-1.htm
