I've had a few UFO"s here in the beginning of my quilting. But eventually learnt to only go with a 1 project, at a time. No offense to anyone that has several/few UFO's going. This time I've been working on 2 quilt at a time. The 1st couple pictures are for a couple who is getting married sometime in Feb or march. My daughter/law and her co workers commissioned me to make a quilt in blue colors. For a coworker at there job. And of course I said YES. The pattern is called Song & Dance from Judy Martins book Ultimate book of quilt block patterns. The 2nd quilt is called Providence star from QNLetter magazine. Also I sewed 5 2 1/2'' strips together. I've done 2-3 but, wasnt sure of 5. But for my quilt it worked out great.I started his probably 2 weeks ago. I have 4 more blocks to make a total of 28. The next set of pictures are of my quilt. The 1st picture is what I was thinking about with out sashing strips. I went with the 2nd picture of sashing. Any ?? let me know. Hope I explained the 2nd set of picturesTake care everyone & have a Merry Christmas & a Happy New year. 1 more thing, I will hand quilt every sq triangle and House template in this quilt

isewman, you are so, so, good at this, it is unreal to me. I just love to look at all you do. Every seam is perfect. Besides that you are perfect at hand quilting. Good blessings to you!

Very nice quilts.

Ditto to all that has been said. BrendaK

Don, two more great quilts. As usual, your quilts are wonderful! That's my favorite book, too. Just a few of the larger (14") blocks make a lovely table topper or bed runner. It's my go to book for ideas! Your "Song and Dance" blocks makes one want to do just that- sing and dance! Your great fabric selections always bring your work to a life of its own. I'm so glad you take time to share them with us. You're amazing! Jan

So far so good. I like the blues.
Beautiful love the colours and different patterns. You sure do a lot of quilts
Both of your quilts are beautiful, but that one with the brown is absolutely stunning!! Wonderful job on both! Merry Christmas!
They are beautiful. Here is the big but in the third picture the center/block is laying the wrong way. I hope you haven't quilted it that way. I have done that a couple of times and didn't notice until it was quilted.
Wonderful looking blocks...love the blues. I have been quilting now for six years and similar to you, I prefer not to have more than two challenges going at a time...I will squeeze in something easy like a baby blanket or table runner but will only work with two quilts.

Thanks for sharing your work in progress. It's already fantastic!
Oh Don they are both beautiful. Blue and white color combo is one of my favorites, however the second one is over the top! I love your work. Show us again when you have them finished!
They are both beautiful, thanks for sharing. God bless you for hand quilting the quilts. I spent too many years as a secretary, so cannot hand quilt because of my carpal tunnel, too painful.
Don, I love your fearless approach to color. You do such beautiful work! Keep up the good work and merry Christmas.
Looking great so far, Don. I love that you went 'scrappy' on the blue stars quilt! Carry on!
As always Don, they are just beautiful. You do such nice work. My fave of the two is the Song & Dance quilt. I love the blues
So very talented. Beautiful!
