Wow -- that's awesome! :D

Colour, value, and texture, eh? The colour and value I would have guessed, but texture? Looks like this needs more investigation before I attempt one.
Lucky you, taking it as a class! That's a very cool effect. |
that is really cool, looks great

Looks great! I took the same class but on a cruise earlier this month. You're right she is a wonderful teacher and very nice also. She also taught one called Transparency where you use fabrics in such a way to make some of them look transparent. I think her patterns are very easy to follow.

That is something interesting and love the color combo

Thanks ladies! I'm trying to finish up some UFOs and WIPs this year. It was a fun class. Our guild won her! I don't remember how, but we won her as a speaker for the guild and she put on a class too.
lisa - A quilting cruise is a wonderful thing to dream about! The texture component is sort of you don't want any real noticeable patterns, like flowery, for 1 of your fabrics. It would ruin the illusion. I used 6 fabrics - 2 colors- dark, medium and light of each and the pattern uses her diamond templates. You also use a lot of starch. The top up close does NOT look as good as far away. It's pretty cool. |
Wow, I love these patterns, that is definitiely on my to do list!!!

Great job!!
