I'm a Little Teapot

is the name I've given this quilt in honor of the first solo I performed at the age of 3 for adoring relatives. The real name of the pattern is Anniversary Quilt, a pattern I found in a lovely quilt shop in Sevierville, TN. The name of the shop is The Cherry Pit and Sevierville is the birthplace of Dolly Parton! I changed the flowers in the vase, as I worked on the quilt in late summer and tulips and pussywillows didn't feel right. You may also see the falling leaves and butterfly I added by two teapots. One of those 'charms' hides a hole I accidently punched into the fabric when it was too late to re-do the block. Okay, so it wasn't too late, I was just too lazy. I had the quilt long-armed by a very talented quilter in our area. I hope the pic comes through. I had problems loading it.

That is beautiful. So charming.

Beautiful, you did a wonderful job. I find the most important thing to know in sewing, quilting, home repairs is knowing how to cover/hide mistakes.

I like what you did to individualize this!

It wasn't a hole, it was a design opportunity! It's beautiful now.

I really love your quilt. I'm glad you were able to hide your little "mistake". Isn't it nice that we are able to correct and even enhance a little? Beautiful quilt.
