My Singer Featherweight arrived today!!! It's my very first antique machine. She's in fantastic condition and sews perfectly! I've named her "Button" because she is as cute as a button. :)

*Forgot to add: she was born in 1953 in New jersey.

That's my poor Janome in the background, already covered up. =)

I don't have one ... Waaa! Just kidding. You lucky girl. Seriously, enjoy your new baby sewing machine. It looks like you will be missing in action for a while playing with it. I know I would.

Congratulations on joining us in the "I have a FW club" Enjoy your new baby. However, you refer to her as an antique and then say she was born in 1953, hmmmm.........I, too, was born in 1953, does that make me an antique too? LOL

btw, The new thread looks funny on a FW. Didn't they tell you that you have to rewind all your thread onto wooden spools to use on your Featherweight?

Oops, so sorry Rapture Ready! I probably should have said that she was "vintage". And if I had to actually rewind all of my thread onto wooden spools, I would never-ever have a chance to sew. Is it okay if I just rewind one spool at a time?
