Much of the time when something is painted silver the silver tends to rub off on to other things. I would be afraid that the paint would rub off onto my fabric or garment when sewing , as it went over the plate and extension table. But maybe not. It always seems to me when I have dealt with silver paint in past years that it just doesn't seem to really dry like other paint does. |

I just bought my first Featherweight a couple weeks ago. It was "born" in 1955. If you Google Singer Featherweight you can put the serial number down and find out the date your machine rolled off the assembly line. |
