Here are some pictures of the infant car seat cover that I made. I hope that the couple that I gifted it to tonight will get to use it. I just loved it. ;) They can use it to keep the rain away or when at the grocery store they can keep unwanted hands from touching their lil baby. :)

That is great! I wish I would have had one of those when my kids were littler.

It was Wal-Mart fabric and I used a tute. =)

Very nice!! I plan on making one for my daughter too. Except I think I will need to see the car seat to get the correct place for the loops that hold it on!

There are also tutes out there for the elastic ones that fit snugly onto the carseat too. I thought this one was fairly easy to make and different. Wont' be too hot during spring weather....but keep off the rain and should keep out some of the light at the store so the baby can sleep. :)

That is way too cool. Being pregnant myself, I am going to make me a couple of them! It beats the heck out of trying to strategicly place receiving blankets over the carseat, LOL! Thanks for showing this. Now off to find the tute

Thanks you all. I appreciate the comments. I was very excited to make it. :) Now I need to make a couple more for some other people. =)

I should have posted the site that I got the tutorial from. I was first at thriftychick.com but they took her site off. I didn't realized that she had passed away. Made me very sad for her family. She was very young-had 4 children and the youngest was only 14 days old. She had a stroke.
Here is the 2nd site that I found with the tutorial. There are others available too.

AngieS 03-28-2011 05:41 AM

Thanks you two! :) I hope it gets some use. I've got several people wanting me to make them for their baby or for their niece/nephews. People that don't sew. :)
