I think it is wonderful you have inherited these quilts and her sewing - - I would be in heaven if someone did that for me! If you are planning to launder them be very careful and not use detergent. Maybe you know this already so sorry if I am "butting" in; someone in my family ruined a beautiful double wedding ring quilt made by my great grandmother's sister. She had used the thirties and forties fabrics which have a different make up of chemicals than todays fabrics and the fabric ripped and tore in spots in almost all of the fabrics. Just want to save you some grief!
I would get some advice on laundering them before you think about washing.:) This board came help you with any thing quilt related. They are wonderful people. |

Do you have any plans for trying to finish the ones that aren't quite finished? If there are that many unfinished quilts there must be a mountain of fabrics. You are going to have FUN.

Just start on one and finish it all the way. Time has a way of speeding along.
All of the are beautiful and will be even more so when quilted and finished. |
