New away of doing Appliqué it called Innovative Appliqué by Becky Campbell.
I have taking her class. I love the look of turn Appliqué but I’ve never like how my has turn out with
Needle turning. She has a great Technique and great patterns! Check out her web site www.sewforever.com

How is it to sew through the glued fabrics? I've tried with Elmer's and it made the fabric so stiff! Looks wonderful!

So basicly you are glueing down the centers of your appliques leaving enough room to turn under the edges?
