Well I would have made a 2 color quilt , added a third color every here and there as a modern spot of color and then used the other 2 colors in a double binding, but I hope she likes what you did. You certainly gave it great effort.

Someone will love it. You did a good job with the fabric you had to work with. By the way, I've seen uglier and ugliest!!
