The purple on the background isn't nearly as dark as what the picture shows. It was fun though and will probably do it again. By the way, the iris are out of my garden. I couldn't resist drawing them when they were opened. I love the positive and negative look on the outside edges. Now I have to decide how to quilt it.

Can you please do a small piece, and do a tute for those of us who might like to try the technique? I've seen this done multiple ways, brushed over with textile medium to set, etc. but I'd like to see what you do.
