Very cute!

thimblebug6000 05-29-2016 05:32 PM

I was gifted one of these, and they are great....BUT... most retreat places that I attend... have limitations on the irons that can be used without blowing the fuse! Enjoy yours!

That's fantastic --- I love it!

soozieQ 05-30-2016 04:38 AM

Thats beautiful and a great idea. Did you use a pattern?

gingerd 05-30-2016 04:50 AM

Thanks ladies! Yes I used a pattern. I found it at a local Quilting store.

The pattern is Caddy Pad from Sisters' Common Thread. It came with the teflon. The instructions told me how to draw the lines on the teflon. It was a lot of measuring, but not hard.

I really like this and need to make one for my travel iron.

I LOVE this pattern....I have made about 15 of them for auction items ( after mine and one for a friend) for out guild.

Karamarie 05-31-2016 04:12 AM

That is really neat - never saw one before.

Bren 05-31-2016 05:23 AM

Super cool!

gingerd 05-31-2016 07:14 AM

Ohhh, an auction item.....that now has me thinking! I was thinking a gift for friends but none of them sew outside of their home. I suppose if I gave it as a gift their iron could now sit out and look pretty!

mjhaess 05-31-2016 09:23 AM

Cute and very useful...

Love your caddy, I have been meaning to make one but haven't yet got around to it. Nice fabric choices as well.

I love your iron tote...you two for 1 (carrier and ironing surface) Enjoy!

gingerd 06-07-2016 04:41 AM

Ladies...thank you! I have a mini iron. I put that plus my surge suppressor in this when I went to class. It worked well as everything was in one spot!

Claire123 08-26-2016 10:48 PM

Love it. I just bought the pattern, a travel iron and some fabric. Looking forward to making it.
