Iron Caddy
3 Attachment(s)
Before I went on my first quilt retreat last month, I decided to make an iron caddy that has been on my bucket list for years. However, the retreat location hosts lots of quilt groups and had two beautiful, large ironing surfaces set up with irons running all of the time. Therefore, mine went unused. I'm still glad to have it done and off the bucket list. I used pony tail holders instead of elastic for the closure and they were too large, so criss-crossed them over the top.

Oh, I downloaded this pattern and made 3 of them. The quilting girls loved them. This is so easy and really cute. Going to a retreat this week. Taking mine.
very clever idea
Love the fabric you used, sweet caddy.
Good project.
On my bucket list too! Yours looks lovely
You did great.
Great...I must make one.
Very nice. We were each gifted one at a retreat, but I've never had the opportunity to use it, as the irons are all supplied and we can't add extras or the fuses blow.
Very cute fabrics and I love the idea of using the ponies as the closures.
great idea!!!
Very nice project and glad that it is off your bucket list.

This is the three I have made, these are for my little craft iron, I also have the larger pattern. Love these and they are so useful.
Where did you find the pattern? Looks like a good idea for a gift.
Thank you for sharing. I love your happy fabrics. I have this on my bucket list also. Congrats on your finish! Enjoy

Really pretty and very practical. When II leave a retreat with a hot iron, I find a shady spot of sidewalk and set the iron on it for a few minutes to cool it down.
I have that pattern; just haven't gotten around to getting it made. Love the colors. Great job.
Great project! It will really come in handy.
Nice job. I am currently making a standard size caddy pad, I have already made a smaller one.
What a nifty sewing project...I would use one of those often.
Wonderful result. It's on my bucket list too.
Nice I like your colors to.
Where did you get the pattern you used, Sewingitalltogether?
Love the caddies -- think I will need to add this to my bucket list.
Here is a pattern I found: http://tricountyquilters.weebly.com/..._caddytote.pdf |
It was a free pattern on Pinterest.
Well I've never seen this before! How clever! (And cute!)
I have made one of these, they are so useful and make your iron very secure when transporting it to retreats etc.
Great Caddy. Thanks...I downloaded the pattern. It will make a great gift or silent auction item.
