Last night, I took four quilts into the big house to get pictures taken. SIL was home and he was helping. He was so interested in the round robin concept that I decided to not wait until his quilt was quilted before letting him know what all of you had done.
So, I took it in to him and the boy and I walked into the room with the quilt ready to unfold for SIL's pleasure. We held it up and it took him a minute to realize that this was HIS quilt!
So, we talked about it for awhile, and then I said:
Now, you waited for ten years for the block (which he did recognize right away!) ... I can now relax for another ten years before quilting it."
SIL says: No ... faster than that because I don't think I can wait ten more years for MY quilt!
LOL ... he was properly impressed with all your hard work <wave>

mamatobugboo 09-13-2010 12:56 PM

they are all very lovely!

sandpat 09-13-2010 05:10 PM

This is my finished quilt from I can't remember which group  It is now being circulated through the Department of Washington American Legion Auxiliary for District 9 fund raiser - - funds to be used for emergency fund to help veterans from and in our county <wave> I found fabric for the back that was royal blue background with some pretty fancy boots kicking around what turned out to be lines ... so, maybe they were line dancing. However, since I am not a fun date, and don't dance ... my boots KICK! LOL sorry that there is no close up of the quilting or the back ...
