Wonderful quilt. Absolutely beautiful and unique. You must be very proud and you should be!

tlrnhi 05-07-2009 07:14 PM

Chris...It's ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!
You did a great job!
I'm VERY proud of you!!
Now, put it in a nice box, address it to me and I will take care of it for you. You wouldn't want any of these ladies on the board try to steal it, would you? So...I'll keep it safe and sound at my house. :) :)

kwhite 05-07-2009 07:20 PM

I saw one in one of the quilt magz I have here with the gears like yours, but yours is so much nicer

GMA 05-07-2009 07:22 PM

what an amazingly beautiful job, Chris. As stated before, this needs to be in a show. It was fun to watch the process and amazed at the end results. Well done!

CHris, It is great to see your clock quilt finished. What an undertaking and what a great work of art. It has been fun to watch this quilt evolve. I like all the gears you have quilted into it. Thanks for sharing all the pics.

First, I must apologize. I remember well seeing a posting with your background blue and white patches and thinking...."OK that's pretty boring"

Second... WOW! what an absolutely clock stopping job!

Chris .... I love the way it all turned out. I agree with the rest of the ladies that said you need to enter it into a show.

quilter1962 05-09-2009 08:34 AM

WOW Chris

Words escape me (I know you'll find that hard coming from me). A fabulous result, & your quilting of the gears is perfect. Did you quilt the gears by hand I know I did ask you in chat before - but being as I am old I've forgotten LOL.

A good job, three cheers for Chris - Hip Hip Horray, Hip Hip Horray, Hip Hip Horray

The silver part looks like it sits above the other parts. I love the detail.

Marguerite 05-10-2009 07:11 AM

WOW, That is really, really clever. It's beautiful

Mousie 05-10-2009 07:42 AM

wow, chris, these pics are really awesome! I finally got to see what everybody was so excited about. Ton of work, but think you must have enjoyed it...at times, lol. Precision work is tedious, but look at the end result...where ya gonna hang this baby?

Hey, that is an idea...for real. It's very impressive, and shows creativity, thinking outside the box, determination. precision, character, flexibility...I think it speaks volumes of the creator
