I bought mine from a Victoria's Long Arm Quilting Dealer in Elko, MN. They are wonderful people and he is a Certified Tech for Tin Lizzie and Gammil so is very knowledgable about eh machine. They are moving to California this month and I suspect they will continue to be Tin Lizzie Dealer there.

Isn't Lizzie nice? I have one too. Mine I've had since 2009. So nice to be able to finish those quilt tops huh??
Your work is beautiful.

Is that price for the new Tin Lizzie 18LS? I don't know if it is good or bad for price because I do not know what a Table cost to buy it separate. I know the Tin LIzze 18LS with the new phoenix table is approximinately $10,000 for the Tin Lizzie with table. Too bad you don't live closer to me (I'm in MN) as I have the Tin Lizzie 18LS (that I just got at end of December) and the Grace Hailey frame that came with it and I want to upgrade to a longer throat soon so would sell mine as a set for $6500--but you would have to pay shipping and I don't know how much that would cost. Let me know if you are interested or if you have any other questions about Tin Lizzie.

To answer your questions, the first one was the 10 minute block and it took me about 3 hours to free motion quilt it. My Lizzie is on a Falcon frame.
I got it from Rocky Mountain Sewing and Vacuum in Colo. Springs. They set it up so I can pay on it over 18 months, no interest.
The $5500 is a good price.

I practiced alot on old bedsheets first--and I did alot of drawing on newspapers. (It's the same concept as actually doing it on the material on frame). I was very nervous to do my first "real" quilt. But I did several of my own before moving on to doing quilts for others. I work a full time job so just do quilting ont he side--mostly for members of the Quilt Guild I am in. I did not advertise to quilt for others--they just saw the work I did on my own quilts and started asking me if I would quilt for them--so that is how I got started quilting for others--when I really intended on buyign the Tin Lizzie just to use for myself.
