Heres what must be the biggest pot holder in history lol!! (You know the type, for lifting hot pots n pans like your granny used to make)
Well thats what it reminded me off as I was stitching on the loop to hang it with!! The rest of the making process is on the other post - Reverse applique workshop!! Wall hanging, made with filmoplast stabilizer/reverse applique You can see abit of my stitching 'corner' in the kitchen, will need to take over a bedroom soon, as I am spilling out!! I think that is so pretty...maybe it's actually a small wall-hanging! It's too pretty to use on pots! I have an apple pot holder a student's mom made several years ago for me, and it hangs in my sewing room. It's never touched a pot...LOL!

Izzy, that's just beautiful - too good to use in the kitchen - just hang it and keep it safe :-)

The butterfly just glows! Very pretty!

I like your potholder...is that embroidery in the center? Wow, it's too pretty us use for a messy casserole! Thanks for sharing. |
Thanks for all your compliments, glad you all like it - it is a small wallhanging, I was only having a joke with you all, as when I was stitching on the loop for hanging, it just came to mind that it looked like a pot holder!! I am going to hang it in one of the guest bedrooms that has burgundy and cream.
Feathers - If you check out the other post which has close up pictures of this in the making you can see that the only embroidery is the butterfly stitch around the border. Thanks again, it's lovely to feel your enthusiasm!! |
