This is a group I designed for P&B. What your looking at is the approved strike off's. Unfortunatly P&B decided not to run it. So this is the only fabric that exists with these designes on it.

I love the sun fabric. Too bad they didn't do it! I love celestial fabrics.
Wow! It is beautiful. I definitely would have purchased these prints. They made a big mistake. You are so talented. I hope to see more of your designs in the future.
Those are beautiful! I know I'd have liked to buy some...
I love it when you show us your beautiful work.

It's a shame they didn't run with it! I love the sun and the stars the most!

Some pretty fabrics...........
I would have bought it -

Really pretty designs. Your work is awesome. Keep showing us what we can't have, so we can dream about it.
Your designs are incredible, thanks for sharing!
Love the colors you used. thanks for sharing.
It look's like we love so this maybe a big mistake on their part.
Love the first three, especially.
Since P&B turned the group down, are you permitted to show the designs/artwork to other manufacturers? Or, since P&B went through the expense of the strikeoffs, is that out of the question? |
Moon phases have been a recurring theme of mine for years. What a delight!
Love it, sorry they didn't run it
so outrageous, what a shame they never printed it
They missed out big time. Your designs are great. I can see them in quilts.
I love the colors and the design, they should have picked it.
Not at all smart on their part. I'm sure it would have been sold out quickly, and I, for one, would have been one of the buyers. Your work is wonderful...
I wish they would have produced that. Such pretty fabric.

Are you allowed to resell the design if they don't run it? Maybe Connecting Threads would like it? |
Thanks for sharing these designs with us, Janet. I think this collection would have been very well received by many quilters. It's a shame that they weren't picked up by P&B. I think sometimes as quilters we forget all the work and perseverance that goes on behind the scenes before the fabric ever hits the shelves. I was chatting with another textile artist (Sue Zipkin) who recently "friended" me on Facebook. She designs fabric for Clothworks Textiles and has quite a few wonderful lines coming out on the market within the next few months. She was explaining to me that she also has many designs that never see the light of day and that it is a very challenging industry these days. She also designs dinnerware, scrapbook items, stationery, home decor items, etc. and has been very successful as an artist/designer for over two decades but still has to "audition" her designs each season to get her artwork on the market. I admire artists like you and Sue very much. Don't give up, please! You are very talented and your work will be picked up again when you least expect it :)

Love it all!!!
I love it all and it's a shame that P&B didn't pick it up!! I would have bought it too!! It's a HUGE loss on their part!
I like most of those and would buy them if I was doing a celestial quilt or needed the designs for a background or accent, maybe borders.
Those are all beautiful fabrics! It is a shame they didn't run it. I love it!
That would have been a seller! I have seen some starry skies but never have seen horoscope fabric! It's a wonderful line...maybe someone else would take it?
i have to agree, they missed the boat. and i love the panel piece of the zodiac
