Dreamer:
Don't allow yourself to get frustrated. Those of us who've quilted for years make mistakes. We just call them "scraps"
and use them in something else.
The mental and manual skills required for quilting are wonderful therapy for you. Keep on keeping on! I'll pray for you.

Can't wait to see your quilt. The fabrics are beautiful. You picked my favorite colors. LOL

Great start. BTW, you did NOT 'RUIN' 5 squares, you have just started your first scrap quilt! Save all those oopsies and cut offs. As you progress, you will find uses for them! Can't wait to see your next post.

Love the fabrics you have chosen. I understand the tremendous amount of effort involved in this which many take for granted; I am no exception. You have taken the BIGGEST step forwards and that is, the decision to start! Well done! It can only get better. I'm rooting for you! Go with it and don't look back! Can't wait to see your finished quilt. Best wishes, BizzieLizzie

I just realized why your fabrics are so wonderful looking together. They look like Neopolitan ice cream!! They look yummy delicious!!!

See, your doing just fine! I love your choice of color in your fabrics. Just take it one step at a time and I'm glad to see that one set back didn't stop you from continuing on. Once you finish all your cutting of the blocks the fun part of piecing them all together begins. Can't wait to see more of your progress. Don't forget if you get into a jam or just need some encouragement everyone on this board is more than willing to help you out.

You CAN do this. Don't give up. One suggestion, put on a glove. I use a simple cotton gardening glove on my left hand. If I nick myself it will be very minor. You might not be so afraid of the rotary cutter if you know you won't injure yourself.
Keep going...we're all encourging you to do this.
