Thank you.
What I'm most proud of is that the top of the straps are seamless that is why I cut the sections.
Here is back view and
included pocket slots (pic is before assembling the bag)so it is a practical throw all bag.

I like it. I love the hook for keys

sewellie 10-08-2014 07:23 PM

I'm wondering how you made the key hook. It looks so scrunchy. Would you tell us how you do that, please?

Sure. Hope this explanation works. I cut 2 strips of fabric.
1) 1" W x approx. 12" long strip (or length desired) use as is for base.
2) 1.5" W x approx 20" long then sew lengthwise right sides together, turn it inside out and u have a sleeve for the base strip. I used a safety pin at one end of the base strip to slide it through the long sleeve. Sew bottom of base strip together w bottom end of sleeve at side of inside tote bag pocket then gather the extra lenght of sleeve and sew the top of the 1" W base strip to the top of the sleeve resulting in the gathered scrunchy look then attach the clasp.

I use this technique sometimes for bag handles too. Tomorrow ill post a pic.
