Jekyll and Hyde
4 Attachment(s)
This quilt can't decide who it is--calm, sedate Dr. Jekyll (churn dash blocks) or wild, crazy Mr. Hyde (string blocks). Quilting it was also a Jekyll and Hyde experience--smooth, problem-free quilting, until I would run into a fabric that shredded my thread! As befits the name, I'm of two minds about it--I can't decide if I like it or not!

nicely done, appropriate name
I love the back a lot! The front is nicely done, but a bit chaotic for my taste, the name seems very appropriate.
Very cool!! The diamond shapes seem to jump out the quilt. Nice work.
I loveeeee itttt!!!!
very nice quilt!!!
I love it. well named.
I really like the frenetic movement that you get from the front. My eye bounces between the churn-dash blocks and then tries to settle on the string blocks, then starts bouncing again. I love it! The back is a fun and restful interlude-- Well done and well named!

Well done.

Great scrappy...and I bet you'd find someone who will love it if you choose not to keep it for yourself. :)
I like it!!!!!!!!!

Give this quilt whatever name you wish. It is definitely a happy quilt. I like the use of the alternating blocks and the brilliance of your color choices.
What's not to like? it is colorful and I love the backing.
Nice scrappy, the back is great.
I like BOTH the front and back. They each have their own character and feel. Great job!
I love all the bright colors and different blocks, looks bright and cheery. Love the blocks on your backing.
I don't know, but you just made a really neat scrappy quilt!
Nice scrappy quilt.
Great use of scraps. Also like the pieced back.
What is not to like? Another lovely scrappy.
Love your quilt, I would have never thought to put the two blocks in the same quilt. They look really nice
together, that is another reason I love this web site, all the great ideas I never thought of trying before. |
What a great looking scrappy.
I like it. One of the best "busy" quilts I've seen.
Wow, Angelia, this is great! Love it! But then, you know me and my love for scrappies.
Thanks, Judy. I'm excited for the next mystery in September. The last one made a donation quilt that is well-loved!
I love it--the name, pattern, and your take on it. Thanks for sharing.
